REGISTRATION OPENS
3/1/26 @ 8AM PST
To be eligible to compete in the Nevada Police & Fire Games, participants must meet one of the following criteria:
Full-Time Personnel (Active & Retired)
Individuals who have been employed full-time for at least four (4) months in an eligible agency, including:
- Sworn Peace Officers (Law Enforcement Officers) as defined in NRS 169.125
- Certified Firefighters
- Active Military Personnel
- Retired Peace Officers, Firefighters, and Military Law Enforcement whose career duty assignment was law enforcement/investigations
- Non-Commissioned Employees who are full-time employees of a law enforcement agency or fire department
- Reserve & Volunteer Personnel
Reserve & Volunteer Personnel
- Commissioned Sworn Reserve Peace Officers
- Volunteer or Part-Time Firefighters with a minimum of two years of service
- Retired Volunteer or Part-Time Firefighters with 10 or more years of service
Emergency Services Personnel
- Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) & Paramedics employed by a law enforcement or fire agency (minimum two years of service)
- Retired EMTs/Paramedics with 10 or more years of service
Non-Sworn Law Enforcement & Fire Department Employees (Active & Retired)
- 911 Dispatchers
- Detention & Custodial Officers
- Crime Scene Investigators
- Lifeguards employed by law enforcement or fire agencies
Spouses of Eligible Participants
- Spouses of Sworn Peace Officers, Firefighters, Non-Commissioned Full-Time Employees, and Active Military Personnel are eligible to participate.
- If a spouse is checking in without the active or retired participant, they must provide proof of their spouse’s work ID.
Age Requirement
- All participants must be at least 18 years old unless otherwise specified on the individual sports page.
- Example: Events held in casinos, such as poker, require participants to be 21 years old due to gaming regulations.

- Police Departments
- Sheriff’s Departments
- Highway Patrol
- Parole & Probation
- Federal Law Enforcement Agencies (FBI, IRS, US Attorneys, US Border
- Patrol, etc.)
- State Law Enforcement Agencies (Gaming Control Board, Attorney
- General, Juvenile Court Services, Prison & Detention, etc.)
- District Attorney’s Office
- Homeland Security
- Air Marshals
- Military Police
Fire & Emergency Services
- State, County, and City Fire Departments
- U.S. and Federal Fire Marshals
- U.S. Park Rangers & U.S. Department of Forestry Firefighters
Verification & Proof of Eligibility
- All active and retired participants must provide an official work ID or proof of service at check-in.
- Retired participants must provide documentation proving they retired in good standing from an eligible agency.
- If unsure about eligibility, potential participants may submit a request for review.
